Does one have heat build up problems with DJ tables with recesses for the equipment?
Typically something like this:
At the moment I am just using a standard table, and there is quite alot of heat coming from my equipment, if I have to put them in an enclosed space I would be worried.
This pic has open sides, but what if the sides where closed? |

Sorry, seems the link is dead.
I'm not worried about fire, I am worried about my mixer.
What about when people play with their equipment in flight cases? Do you guys not experience any overly exessive heat build up? = equipment failure? |

| no dont worry about it. these things are made to handle extreme situations, u can almost throw water on them. ive been in clubs with 50 degrees celsius, 100% humidity (well almost), no ventilations, and the gear still had no problems. the dj couldnt even light up a smoke, caus nothing would burn in there. |

yea, i've played in some extreme situations, heat build up isn't much of a problem or issue
if it does concern you, install a couple of those computer fans in your table to allow for some airflow |

That might not be a bad idea!
I want to make a really nice table for my gear, and I really like the flush with the table surface look.
I think I shall have some glass waterjet cut for the recesses, and have some stainless steel plate cut to make it look like a circuit board, and shine some green light up through the bottom.
I might do some very fine stainless prongs to make the decks look like ICs.
I will also have holes cut for the fans. and make them part of the circuit bord
