| Wow, so now trance producers need to rip off other people's progressions? How lame is that. |

| Honestly, it's probably useful for some people to analyse them without ripping them off. |

Agreed, but we all know that's not what they're used for OR made for.
Regardless, congrats Jezper on getting it done and I hope it sells well. |

Well, if you really read the kit, it doesn't look like he is giving out chords and progressions. I havn't checked it out, so he may be, but according to what he said in his post, its just pads and arps. I'm not quite sure how useful a pad is in MIDI format (which intrigues me) and arp's can really be used in several situations and are highly editable/variable.
Just my observations.
Again, good luck Jezper. You are one of the few I still respect in Trance. Not just because of the music you make but because you take the time to give me feedback on my promotional mail outs (Olympik Records)
Cheers mate and wish you nothing but the best. |

It's not a uncommon phenomenon to sell midi files and it might be useful to someone, who knows. :) |

I know. I used to buy them from producerloops.com when I first started. They ARE useful because they show you how to put together things easier. In particular the tracks that are pretty much sitting there arranged just waiting for you to add an instrument. It's kind of like getting a project file from a well respected producer.
Unfortunately the reality is these things are abused. There is a reason you see them floating around on sharing blogs, forums, and torrentz, and it's not for educational purposes. |

Yeah, theres a lot of prog artists too.
I have so little sympathy for this , honestly, its the most basic thing: if you are a musician, then you write your own music! Then again, I came from a "real" instrument background, so I guess maybe I had a more musical approach to start with. |

Well I came from zero music background and I still agree with you. |
