My school's dining hall plays uplifting supersaw cracker trance

Yep.

In the dining room area, there are speakers built into the ceiling that play a local top 40 rock and soft rock station.

But in the room where you buy the food, there are no speakers, so a couple of the employees bring in their own music to listen to through a boom box while working.

This one guy (Latin American descent) usually brings in these house and electro-house mixes, but he wasn't working today. So as I'm getting my food for lunch today, someone else brought in a CD that was playing this song through the boom box, and I did a double take with major lulz:

What does that have to do with anything else you said?

So it isn't the school's dining hall, but one employee that was playing it on an independent system that allows employees to play music from their personal collection. Thats... funny I guess?

Is it sad that they were playing cracker trance, or sad that you were able to ID the tracks?

Approach them, mention your participation in TA music discussion (to label yourself as a Trance Elite), then provide a complete track list, insult them for liking such cheese, then lecture on the history of trance & why they are a ing idiot.

I read an interview with Christopher Lawrence once where he was talking about being on holiday with his kids and seeing a bunch of geriatrics doing water aerobics to Darude's Sandstorm. I remember him saying it felt like the day the music died. Laughed my ass off.

My university has a dining hall with a similar setup. Occasionally some random dude who works for the university's radio station will play stuff. I doubt he means his high school.

One of my biggest regrets about uni is never attempting to do a radio show. I've always wanted to :(
