Right. Im pissed off.
I cant get the TA Directconnect hub to work.

I have it all installed, and it'll work fine on my Win2k system here at home. But the DC hub is useless on a 56k metered connection. I need to get it going at the University where there is a fat broadband connection for me to l33ch from.
So, I take the DC setup files into the University and install them on their Win2k machines. I get my hopes up, run DC and get the following evil message. ->
"Component Mswinsck.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered. A file is missing or invalid."
I think this file has something to do with a modem. Also, I might be behind a firewall there but Im not sure. It was suggested that I try the Visual Basic runtime files, but that didnt work.
Does anyone have any idea what I could do??? Even crazy suggestions.
I need this DC hub.
Im losing sleep and sanity by not having it working. :( |
