The line was a mess! Never saw a line like that at Avalon before. Luckily, we were able to kinda blend in towards the front and got in with enough time to catch Kazell. :D Kazell is always the perfect opener for Digweed and he sure set the mood once again!
Digweed was good but kinda slow the first couple of hours but I still danced and bounced around non-stop. Then during the last couple of hours, Digweed just tore it up! It was insane but I was now running on fumes and I tried my bestest to keep on going.
We had a great time. Digweed & Kazell always bring it! :D |

The title of this thread is 2010.03.20 [LA] Avaland: John Digweed, Kazelle. It covers everything that went on that night. When a promoter effs up big-time, as is the case here, this is what you get.
If anyone cannot relate, buy a presale ticket for a club that advertises a 10 pm opening, changes it to 12 am just a week or two before, and then makes you stand in line for an hour with that ticket. Now tell me how do you feel, tell me now how do you feel...
I'm open to a Digweed review thread being opened, but this one's not going away anytime soon, trust me. As for legal options, I'm open to whatever will stop this from happening again. If this were a retail business instead of a monopolistic nightclub, it probably would have either been fined heavily or shut down by now. :whip: |

Exactly :) If only you could choose which event (cough May 30th) you got the complementary tickets for but that was nice of them to do something.
It would have been even nicer if there was some place to click on in the email message (like where it says "Click here") that actually worked instead of having to email them to get the link ;) |

I'm sure that ticket sales havent been good for this show with WMC,Ralph Kyau(or albert orbboth) at circus and Eddie Halliwell at the music box all going on.
excellent marketing on their part, gotta give greedy giant credit, screw over the patrons on 3/20 and then give them a free guestlist for the next show and the slate is wiped clean... if sasha /digweed order was reversed and the digweed night was a mess, they wouldnt be offering the comp. GL for sasha.
in SF promoters/clubs provide free guestlists all the time, in LA the promoter/club has to screw the customer in order for it to happen.
yet another reason SF>LA
