Restoring pitch control on Technics 1210 to factory settings

Anyone done this before??
I know it involves a multi meter and getting a reading of 2.7 kohms and moving the pedentiometer on the circuit board to match that value.
I need to know how.....
Was going to get a MK3 pitch for my decks to avoid the 0% click. Would this in anyway automatically recalibrate the pitch to it's factory settings therefore rendering the use of the multi meter pointless??
Thanks in advance. |

just put the -+ terminals of the multimeter on the -+ ends of the potentiometer, labeled vr302. set your multimeter to read ohms.
if the mk3 pitch comes with the whole circuit setup like the picture below, then yeah it will reset. i'd check the reading on that too.
