| if you're not going to flush the TP down the toilet after taking a dump, then you may as well take a dump in the trash can to begin with. ffs. |

Yes, I have, and it's pretty odourless. |
Even if I believe a bin full of is odourless, can you not think of the problems with this? Surely it will attract flies, who are going to walk all over this ty paper and then fly around the rest of your house, land on surfaces, land on food. I don't even like putting meat in the indoor bins.
And there's nothing wrong with the tap water in this country. We actually have a good water and sewerage system, which is why we can flush our paper in the first place. My Dad has installed machinery and equipment on many sewerage plants, he knows exactly how the system works and he has never had a problem with drinking tap water. |

No, not really. The restroom is usually very deep inside the house, and the cap makes it impossible for flies to get in there.

Despite my earlier joke, there's nothing wrong with the water here either. What I'm trying to show is that what's nasty for you may be completely natural for us, and vice-versa, simply for cultural reasons.
You're trying to find lots of reasons why drink tap water is not nasty, and you know it isn't because you're used to, and nothing has ever happened to you. I believe you, and both our sewerage system and our water is quite good too where I live (by the way, the water in London tastes horribly compared to our water here, I don't know how far from London you are :p) - but the thought of drinking something that has been through lots of pipes I can't see is disgusting. The same with you guys and my toilet bin.
No flies, no odour, there's both a cap and a plastic bag for sanitary reasons, it's nothing special. You're just not used to it. |
