| So much horse. I'd buy that people often hate the most in themselves what they often see and despise in others and that, yes, hate is often the product of little more than fear, but to assume that everyone reaches their prejudices out of little more than hypocrisy is quite shallow. |

Fundamental observation. I agree. |

Bossy, arrogant, bolshy, know-it-all people who bully people into submission to do their bidding.
Maybe she just didn't feel as strongly about the issue as you. But whatever her reason, forcing her to sign makes you a terrible person. |
Well I'm sorry that you have issues with reading comprehension, but I didn't force her to do anything. I specifically stated that she didn't have to sign it if she didn't feel comfortable. |

So if nothing gets you riled up, what does that make you then? Lol what a goddamn crock of . I guess indifference is a lot safer for most people. |

Not really. The beauty of that observation (You're what you hate) is that it's painfully simple and childlike, but it's true. You don't come to hate/be bothered by something that has no importance to you. You loathe because you care somehow. |

So that automatically means it MUST be because one sees that in themselves? Hate and anger are just symptoms of impatience and misunderstanding, nothing more. |

Bull. I hate people who won't take me on in an argument and get the issue resolved. How the can I be hating myself, when I'm the one trying to have the argument and resolve the issue?
You can care about the things you hate for many reasons. You might well hate a character trait because you constantly encounter it in others and it constantly affects your own life in a negative way. That's a far more simple and practical explanation than cheap psychobabble about self-hate. |

Pardon me for reading between the lines lol.
Anyway, calling someone a coward just for being reluctant to rally to your cause is hardly a good thing. People have the right to be apathetic.
And I'm adding drama students and food&drink snobs to the list. |

| I would argue that people who can't voice disdain are cowards. Why give anyone a reason to not like you, right? in pansies. |

There's far more to it, though it's not just that you see what you hate in yourself (most likely, you don't), but something that is about yourself is activated by what you hate.
If you think efficiency is fundamental, and you see a clumsy person having difficulty doing a task you assigned, it may piss you off because it's something that goes against a value you hold dearly. If you didn't care about efficiency in the first place, and just wants the person to do what you asked (and doesn't care about how long that takes), it'll hardly bother you.
This is a trivial example, but I think it's easy to understand what I mean :) |

Actually, it wasn't MY cause...it was for the people in the class who are doing poorly (not me), and she is one of them. She's hardly apathetic, she had a whole lot to say about the situation until it came time to actually do something about it. In fact she's one of the biggest whiners in the class about how 's not fair, yadda yadda. Shut up or do something about it. |

See, if you weren't so passionate about arguing, you wouldn't be blurting out expletives like a mother in labour for something you didn't understand ;) |
