Automation in Omnisphere

| Hi, I hope this is not a dumb question but I want to know the following. If I open up the Omnisphere synth within my DAW (I use Pro Tools 8) and MIDI program a synth line, can I automate such things as cutoff/filter sweeps with Omnisphere? |

| Yes, you can automate most of Omni's synthesis parameters in your DAW. In the VST version, you just right-click on any synth parameter, click "Enable Host Automation" (or something like that), and it should then become available as a NRPN value in your host. I assume it works the same, or similarly, in PT. |

Yea this question pops up a lot. You have to first turn it on inside Omnisphere, then it works as all other VSTs do.
You can also map multiple parameters to the same knobs/sliders/buttons like with many other VSTs to do some crazy live stuff. CPU may be an issue though. |

| Thanks for the replies! Cryophonik, I'll try that out later today... hopefully the PT version is similar to the VST version. |
