I just listened to your track ..i must say its not bad at all but you do have to listen to more progressive ..there are a few things i think would need to change to make it more appealing for most prog djs just IMO ...... the track is running at 133-134 which is a tad to fast ..i would lower it to about 129-130 with this it makes the beat more clearer and more effective and most tribal/prog songs are 130 and under half the time .....i also suggest the kicks to be more chugging if you know ..the kicks are kinda week compared to the sorrounding tribal elements .... good tribal beat has to feel like its chugging away heheh thats how i like to call it ... just some comments ..try listening to stuff from
Dj Nukem vs Chab
Gpal
Saeed & Palash
a good song trakc DCM - ELemental ...this track is pure deep tribal progressive...
but your track is agood just needs a little more to impress the real tribal prog crowd more ...hope it helps but good job nevertheless better then what i could do thats for sure ;) Great job |

ya know...most Chab & DJ Nukem songs are up in the 136 range...Saeed & Palash + G-Pal both do more 130...but just thought it say...that about 80% of the DJ Nukem & Chab songs i got are at about 134-136 range...lol... |

thanks for the comments, and the criticizm !
First of all , the kick being alittle week was identified by someone else a few days ago, so I fixed it, and now it really drives the track alot better.
I've noticed that in the tribal genre there are those tracks that boarder on the progressive side, and those that are just plain crazy tribal beats. I tried to achieve a more 'tribal' feel for this mix, such as songs featured on the Mixology and Bamboo lables.. and this is alittle pit faster pace than most progressive, with a slightly higher bpm.
But I appreciate your comments, and I AM making a progressive mix of this song, currently underway (aswell as a third mix).
I should have all three tracks complete by the end of the month, if evevrything goes as planed. |

i think it would be cool to add haunting drifting vocals :D I like the track, not mind blowing but definately worth while listening :)
How about a steve lawler remix? :D |

I actually did get some vocals for the remix, from the co-producer soft.
a remix by a professional producer would be amazing!!...
its not mind blowing, i no, but what tribal songs do you consider mind blowing? I'd like to listen to them, and use them for inspiration.
and by the way, this is my first attempt at making anything close to this sort of genre.. I've been making trance before this! :happy2: |

Chab - The Sinus & Tunelling hit 136...hehehe
hey Chrono...i finally dled this song...yikes...sounds professional...i think the kick is jus a bit weak still though...a demonic vocal in it...like fadin in and out would be tight...but yea...other than that...sounds amazin... |

| thanks , the version with the updated more powerfull kick drum hasn't been uploaded, so that's why it still sounds weak when you listen to it online |

Hello once again!
As promised, Chrono VS Soft - Xenolith (vocal dub) is online!!
And due to popular demand, we have added drifting vocals ! in italian even! BUT not only that, but the ENTIRE TRACK has been reworked with new drums, synths, and a killer bassline.
And this track is currently being reviewed by some labels so lets hope it gets a vinyl release!
THANKS EVERYONE, YOU GUYS ARE THE GREATEST!!

Hey everyone.
I want to get into the tribal and progressive scene more deeply, as I am starting to make some tracks in these two styles.
After 3 days up, my song (produced by me, and a fellow artist "soft") has reached 6th place on the tribal charts on mp3.com
you can listen to it HERE
anyways, I'd like to know what some of ur fav tribal and progressive tracks are, whats hot right now, and most importantly what RECORD LABLES have good tracks, because I am planning a summer promo CD to ship around.
thanks for any help, oh, and drop me a comment on my track! I'd really appreciate any feedback.
Late peoples! :) |
fav Tribal tracks
Absolutely anything by the Following:
Marcello Castelli
Chus and Cebellos
DJ NATRON
Mara
Darkdriver and Seks
Ben Camp
Lexicon Avenue
Peace Division
Weekend World
Echomen
Steve Lawler
Sean Q6 (aka Sean Cusick)
Best record labels for this stuff
Stereo Productions
Choo Choo
Baroque
Oblong
Pitch Black
Kismet
Forensic
Honchos
Its sometimes really difficult to say which record labels becasue these Producers produce Progressive House nad the labels cater to Progressive House. Tribal House is just a tougher drum driven branch of.
But Stereo Productions can do no wrong. They release this iberian Tought Tribal Tech house, its a some South American label i think.
I hope i helped and good luck with your productions.
later
