| I'm not paying a penny for my 1 Mb HomePNA connetion and this isn't even a student building where I'm living. Free internet for all the residents. Pretty cool, eh... |

Well, that's stretching it a bit, the minister in charge of "broadband affairs" is a known lier, :p
I doubt that everyone in Sweden will have broadband in 2006. I mean everyone is alot of people.
But, alas, broadband is pretty common in about 75% of the country or so, where 90% of the people live.
I myself, situated in the capital, is on a 512Kb ADSL connection. |

| I pay 99Euro for a 7800kbit/512kbit ADSL-subscription. That's the fastest thing available in my region. Any faster means going to a university. |

In the USA all is charged by month
DSL/Cable = $50/1mb ... $30/256kb
56k Modem = $5-20
I use to have cable, but couldn't afford $600/yr, so I switched to 56k for only $50/yr. Its fine for email and web, but sucks for dl large files such as music. Although with AG head cut off, its not an issue anymore, dam RIAA. |

Damn! I wish I was living over there! Over here, we get 56K for US$5 - $24/month ($24 for AOL :whip: ), ADSL for $39.95 - $79.95/month (up to 1.5 Mbit DL/? UL) and Cable for $44.95 - $54.95/month (depends on wether you're a Comcast Cable TV customer or not). T1's unknown but, I believe it's in the $1000+ range... |

| in spain 56k is extremely expensive but you can buy hours for a set price and subscribe to things free from 1800 - 0800 and free on weekends, but i have 512k and find this to be the best option it costs 230 euros to connect then 39 euros a month. |

i've got adsl and it costs 45 euro's...
but the phonecompany limited the d/l and u/l rate.. so my highest d/l is 55 kb/s and my highest u/l is 14 kb/s .. the only good thing about this is that it's VERY stable.. |
