I have recently re-installed everything and im finding little niggles that weren't there before.

Listen to this loop its just a kick bass and a perc loop from a sample pack.

I know there is nothing wrong with the loop I have used it before, I checked the sample rate, I checked the start of the kick I bypassed all fx to see if that was it but it just sounds out of time?

The loop

Anyone take a stab as to why?

here is another one where i opened new project grabbed a kick and a loop didnt touch anything and looped over 8 bars it appears to randomly go out of sync then not?

second loop

Ok have narrowed it down to a timestretching issue.

Its almost like cubase has forgotten how to time stretch loops properly, this must be a settings issue. How do i get into the setting for the automatic timestretch feature of sx3. Like the loop is 140 but I roll on 138 and it always did it automatically on importing the loop. So how do i tell it not to, or make it do it properly?

Cheers =)

post a screenshot of the project including the transport bar.

need bigger?

oh and as if on cue, it stopped doing it :( now I still need to know because i'm sure it will come back.

is it your vst instrument tracks and regular audio tracks that are not lined up ?

Try turning off musical mode on the loops, even if they are at the same tempo it can still get screwed up, if they are at different tempo timestretch it manually instead.

Nope I checked everyhting even the start points of the samples, then turned all fx including on synth fx off.

Stupid question how do i do that? I have never had to bother with TS settings so dont know where. is it the menu where it says drums, standard,MPEX 2 etc when you right click audio and click timestretch.

Whenever this happens, zoom all the way in to the beginning and end of the loop and make sure its perfectly on time, sometimes just selecting all the events and press Q makes it alright. And dont use musical mode on loops that are in the same tempo as the track.

Yes, right click select Timestretch.. then input the tempo of the sample and the desired tempo.. you can use whatever algorithm really.. doesnt make much of a difference, but to be sure you can use the MPEX2 which is the best one.
