Sometimes.
I just think it funny when I watch Americans justify activities that are quite obviously wrong, by arguing that the constitution says such activities are ok. as if all the truth and knowledge in the world is held in that archaic document, and any decision based upon the constitution is therefore inherently correct. Im not allowed to use my free speech to defraud or lie to authorities or perjure myself in a courtroom, but enforce my (lunatic) unsubstantiated opinions at somebody else’s funeral, well that’s ok! |

I'm not defending their beliefs at all, nor am I saying that "such activities are ok". I was correcting Woscar, who said that hate speech is not covered under freedom of speech when, in point of fact, it is. All I am saying is that it is legal for them to do what they do. I don't agree with it, but it is. Simple as that. |

Exactly. |

Exactly how are the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan protecting the free speech of Americans? |

I was speaking from the standard, right-wing redneck response of, "He died fighting to protect our rights". |

You think I want them there lol? They're not doing to protect our free speech. They're just wasting lives and money, imo. |

Ouf, can of worms ing opened.
We could be sitting here, having foregone both the war in Afghanistan AND Iraq, and still have exactly the same rights we've had. |
