Be still my beating heart, a new track? Never heard this track before, and while I don't claim to know all things Guvenen and can easily miss big tracks, I can't locate this track's origins. Anyone care to shed light on this. Guvenen is easily my top producer so new material from him after a 5 year hiatus would be welcomed.

It's weird, I found a track called Muhammed a couple of months back also tagged with Yunus' name. No info on it, but that one was released like 2002. This one sounds more fresh and incorporates a lot of elements of newer sounds. It doesn't really strike me as a signature Yunus-track though. Sure hope it's him and that we have more to come :eek:

Ah, you managed to contact him through that website? Hm, I'd be interested in getting that track, any idea how?

A Better Purpose is probably from 5-6 months ago as some other Turkish DJs played it in around November and Yunus added the full length track on his soundcloud page 3 months back with a tag "the new stuff".

I think it's quite weak for being a Yunus track. Sounds kind of cliché and uninspiring.

I don't like to admit it, but I have to agree. Some of the other tracks on his SoundCloud sounded more like him. It's not going to be easy for him to live up to the expectations. Munich has a very Yunus bassline with a touch of twinkly prog. It's decent, but I can't help to feel it all sounds a bit unfinished. Maybe because it's not :p

I don't think it sounds weak necessarily, just we're used to such amazing productions from him. Plus, I rather enjoy this song as he entices you in with a good beat and only after 2 min does he begin to reveal the melody. His stuff I've heard from his Red Flag Collective I thought was a lot less enjoyable. More importantly, I just hope it's a sign that he is back to producing after such a long hiatus.
