While I disagree with the idea that possessing CP should be a crime (on a free speech stance), it doesn't mean anyone should be out there seeking it out.
Also possession has no correlation to production either. Research has shown that production of child pornography is usually based out of a communal/trophy system by pedophiles to mark their accomplishments. One could state that pedophilia is not a sexual attraction to children but a very warped power complex, where the desire to control and make that control known to others is the driving factor.
There is a strong use of child prostitution though to create child pornography, usually out of Russian and the former Soviet Bloc. This is to feed people like Boris, who are stupid enough to pay for it, and are not violent pedophiles, but more the loser type who are just infatuated. The issue is that most of the pay stuff, like in any media distribution is free eventually and that criminalizing possession does little to curb production.
Looking at countries like the Netherlands as an example is a fallacy as well because while you could look at when the possession of child pornography was made illegal in the 1990s the rate of child molestations dropped, the problem was the production of child pornography was legal up to that time too. You kill both sides of the chain and of course things drop.
Anyway, the point to be made here is that while possessing it, as well as the making illegal of any sort of text/picture/video, is very wrong in my opinion Boris is still a sicko. |

| I wonder if Boris would try to make some child porn of his own. Just for, you know, the new experience, because new experience is always exciting. |

That is such a broad argument though that can be applied to any action, moral, immoral, illegal, legal. |

That one action always specifically precludes another.
Its the same one used that violent video games turn people into murderers. |

we? it seems to me you lacked some sort of social recognition in your childhood. being on the forefront of bashing me is certainly serious business to you. don't mind answering. actually, what this thread confirms is how frighteningly insecure you are, how scared you are to reveal your true self to others (apart from the standard "cool" list including drugs, parties and sexual adventures), to agree with the minority, to be looked upon as weirdos. as a preventive safety measure, you have convinced yourself (or have been convinced) that there is a huge gap between you and me, whereas in fact you won't believe how similar we are, being just the average person with the average degree of deviation in certain departments. but i'm not going to tell you that you've all plotted against me ********-style because i think i am adequate enough to understand and accept your attitudes, and also i do acknowledge the fact that nobody was ever successful in convincing the other part in an argument of principals

I wasn't making an argument. I was commenting on the implicit assumption that "new experience" should be the paramount consideration in deciding whether to do something. |

I believe it is though, if not at a conscious level, then it for sure is at an unconscious level. The human experience is experiencing. |
