This is mainly for the European posters here, namely Dutch, German and Finnish:
Do you have any idea where I could possibly obtain a copy of this series? I'm actually downloading a Finnish version but I don't think I'll be able to understand it. I really would love to buy it on DVD.
I am desperate. After many years of searching I have finally found the English name of this show (used to watch it in Hebrew as a kid so I didn't know). This was my favorite show and I would pay big money to watch it again in a form I could understand (though I hear English dubbing is awful).
I guess I'd also like t ask who else used to watch this? Wasn't this just the best cartoon evar?
Perhaps he knows English or you can use a dutch/english translator to find out who has the distribution and sales rights to the language of your choice.
The intro in hebrew is here.

Thanks man, I appreciate your help. I know this is your general nature, well let's just say, details, but did you actually watch this show? You seem to be awfully keen on helping me out so I'm just wondering if this show is a fond childhood memory for you as well?
Anyway, the show actually has three creators and and of them has an English blog. Through that page I have managed to locate a small, but (luckily) active Facebook group. I wrote a message there and am keeping my fingers crossed for a reply. That same creator also posts there so I'm very much hoping that he'll answer. Come to think of it, sending him a private message seems like a good idea as well.
Anyway, best case scenario is that the Finnish version I'm currently downloading has English subtitles. Not holding out for that though.

This is definitely unrelated but the most awesome beer glass ever

That is indeed awesome.

Well I managed to find the first 6 episodes in Japanese with English subtitles:
Would love to find the rest as well. These guys haven't done anything past episode 6 since early 2008 so I really doubt there are any more like this out there:(
TranceGiant
it was a bit disturbing, what with the Hitler references and all that.

Sorry, can't help you, but I just want to post the uplifting trance choon that is the ending theme:
Frenkieee
Ah, Alfred, I loved it! Watched many many shows of it.
I tried a search on Bol.com, the Dutch Amazon. Found lots of dvd's, but none of them seem to have subtitles. I did notice it's being produced by Disky Entertainment, perhaps you can try and contact them for English subs.
edit: the two brackets in the url don't help.. try using www.nzbindex.nl searching for "Alfred J. Kwak". By using the advanced search and checking only the a.b.tv group you'll find the files I mentioned.
Adam420
Hey Frenkieee, are these files for the actual show in Dutch? Like I mentioned, I'm in the process of downloading the Finnish version in its entirety, and should have it by tomorrow. Thanks for your help though.
I actually wrote to Herald Siepermann on Facebook and he replied very quickly. He very much appreciates my interest but does not know himself where an English version could be obtained. He did, however, gave me a couple of references and said that I should contact them. I am going to do that and hope that it yields some kind of positive result.
