Have any of you replaced a laptop screen? Where did you buy it?

I'm looking on eBay, but I'm curious to know if anyone is familiar with a reputable seller, whether on eBay or not.
Thanks!
And to make this music-related, I'm listening to Desyn's 2004 Essential Mix. Holla. |

Just the screen?
My screen crapped out on me a while back, it's like $400 to replace the screen alone. Haven't gotten around to it yet because I have another laptop I reverted back to. But if you find someone that can get them cheaper, keep me updated ;) |

Replacing a Laptop LCD is expensive. I was talking to one of my clients and he advise me not to buy a used laptop due to this problem. He did a replacement and said it's not worth it.
Bad part about LCD replacements, you never know if there's dead pixels until you power up the screen. I wish you both of you guys the best of luck for this. |

Well the first step is to get the part number, and I've found a few sellers on eBay. I might just go with the one with the best feedback...just wanted to see if anyone has experience with this.
and yes, just the screen. and i found it for a year-old lenovo laptop for 95 shipped. (ebay search part number 42T0528) |
