How do I synchronize visuals with an Ableton Live DJ Set?

I have just purchased an Akai APC40 controller for Ableton Live and am enjoying using it to DJ.

I have a private gig coming up and I would like to have some visuals projected behind me, preferably in sync with the tempo of the audio coming out of Ableton.

I don't really have access to any videos but I have quite a large image library so the ideal would be a program that displays images in sync with audio tempo, but also applies automatic effects to the images as well.

I have searched extensively for this and have come up with a lot of different programs (Arkaos, Resolume, TouchDesigner) and even found one that seemed perfect (BeatHarness) but I cannot get that one to work.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Steve

get in touch with the VJ before the gig, give him the cd's, tell him what you want done. i'm pretty sure most VJ software used these days have the ability to sync image to sound

You could either used max4live and jitter, or you could use miid yoke to route a midi clock out from ableton and into your visuals program.

No idea what VJs use for that stuff though, so can't help there, I can only tell you how to get it working on the ableton end.

Some of my VJ friends use Mudel8 & Motion Dive Tokyo.
