Your thoughts on the NYTA 'Local DJ' set thread?

in my opinion, this has proved to be a downgrade from letting the DJ's post individual threads. i think the view count & download counts show that themselves, as i'm sure most of the local DJ's when posting their sets up have individually earned more in shorter amounts of time than collectively in this thread.

it seems that most people will prefer a set from certain locals, and will only click through that persons topic. i don't see it as a means of cluttering the board, as the DJ's here are all respectful and don't just flood them with countless threads. for radio shows/podcasts, most of us consolidate into one thread. also, there are dj's that only promote a set once in a while, and create a new thread say once a month or every other month..

lol.

No complaints from me. NYTA has been kicking ass lately.

On the topic of DJ's threads though...I said it a couple weeks ago...I personally don't think it would be a big deal if djs got to post new threads for their mixes. I know I would personally make more mixes if that were the case. That DJ mix thread doesn't seem rto generate much action as is.

BUT, I am not complaining! :toothless Things are running very smoothly here right now.

lol i'm not trying to start any issues or start an uprising again. i figured it wouldn't hurt to inquire since, like zack said, it has not been generating any responses.

+1, I'm also not complaining, but I think it would be cool to at least have the OPTION of having one thread to promote a radio show/podcast. I'm starting one soon, and while the dj set thread is good, having a dedicated one would be better imo.

But, I must say the board is in much better shape than it was a month ago :)

I second being able to post mixes as regular posts - don't think that was ever really much of a problem..

New things take getting used to. If you want more action in the thread...do something about it. Link your friends, post the link on facebook etc.
