| I don't know if "awesome" is the right word, but Boy 8-bit and Surkin are good as far as slightly less trashy (but still pretty trashy) electro goes. Or at least they were when I was still into them 3 or 4 years ago. Not sure how their sounds have progressed since then. I think I just sold my last Surkin vinyl a month or so ago. In any case, I'm pretty sure this event is listed in the upcoming events thread. Not really sure it deserves its own thread though. I remember making threads like this in 2006 trying to get people to check out Boys Noize @ Studio B lol :P . I haven't closely followed electro in some time though. Would be great to see Erol Alkan back in the city again, or better yet overseas. In any case, I'm sure Friday's show will be a good time. Maybe post a couple of vids afterwards. |
