For those who listen to or have been affected by Nujabes' music

quote:

It has been announced that Jun Seba, aka Nujabes, Japanese hip hop producer extraordinaire, passed away late February

quote:
As I write now from Japan, I had been leaving him messages the past couple of weeks, trying to get in the studio together, so the news could not have come any more unexpected. Even last week, I passed by his house and called him thinking he was still home.

Google Nujabes

Though he's no longer in the physical, his mark and music has been engraved in existence. Nujabes' music uplifts spirits & (can) provokes deep thought and reflection. His music has taught me to be(along with Bboying, Hip Hop, & Psychedelics). The message and teachings may not be as direct as an emcee's or a buddhist's, but it's there but it begins with you. I'll continue to pass on the positive vibes I've felt in his music onto others.

Thank you Jun Seba! Nujabes got soul!

Hadn't heard of him before. About halfway through the youtube clips now. Absaloutely stunning.. Just beautiful..

Any recommendations on an album of his to check out, as a start?

R.I.P. :(

His music really touched me and I listened to it almost every day.

SebaJun, don't know what else to say, but thank you for your impact on my life with your music. You will be remembered by me and all your fans. Until we meet again.

Sad sad day... Just stunned.

"
On February 26, 2010, Jun Seba was involved in a traffic accident upon exiting the Shuto Expressway late at night. He died at a hospital in Shibuya Ward after failed efforts to revive him. He was 36 years old. There was a private burial with only family in attendance. Hydeout Productions has stated that Nujabes has left behind tracks, which they plan to release in the near future[3]."

36 years...what a damn shame. I really did enjoy the music in Samurai Shamploo. Will have to download some of these tracks to relax me on my drive from work.

was on wikipedia and linked to cowboy bebop since I'm still a fan.
They are doing a live-action movie in 2011 with Keanu Reeves starring as Spike 'motherfuking' spiegel.

"OMG I die X 10000000001 +1" seriously Keanu? wtf?

He only had two non-soundtrack albums as I recall, and they're both equally good. An absolute bitch to import from Japan though.

Very sad news.
