Amazing how he was played the keyboard like a violin... on a live sound system... without a single wire attached to it :stongue: :stongue: :stongue:
I can't believe you guys went last night. Tamar I expected more from you lmao. You better come to Vola on the 16th if you show up for dj's like Shah :p

last nite was hit and miss imo his set was to slow there were a few good tunes the 3 hours he played
i would say that there were about 7 tracks that i like other then that the rest has bad! the hole
thing with the keyboard such a huge FAIL!!! He played pvd - for an angel i'm like its about time he
plays something good then he starts with the keyboard again :whip: :whip: :whip: I will say this
much his mixing is not bad but the tunes he played does not fit in a club He would be better
at a beach party or a boat cruise imo. I like to give everyone a chance now that i saw Roger
the next time he comes here i will pass b/c the type of music he plays is not my cup of tea!!
Would of like to see the rest of MO's set but Roger killed the mood got to hear the first tune
As you fall great tune after that we left
See everyone at asot 450!!!!!

I arrived at around 12:30 as planned to a decent filled Guv. There was definately room to dance, and it was easy to get around unlike some other crazy nights, say Steve Angello in Jan.
Manzone and Strong were playing good I felt. Varied it up a lot, played fast. Unfortunately they didn't keep on playing and Shah came on at like 1:10'ish. They ing set him him up perfectly, like priming a fellow volleyball player for a spike into the otherside for a win (sorry I don't have any other example right now) but then when Shah came on, it was mellow right away and didn't really change much! He played Who Will Find Me at like around 1:30 and a lot of his other stuff too which equated to mostly too melodic stuff. His attempts at self promotion were too much and I can understand if he was actually decent DJ'ing. At one point his friend or whatever was tossing Shah flyers into the crowd from the stage. I thought it was a CD so I ran up to be dismayed when finding out. He played "Lost" as an encore at the end.
Yeah it's okay to plug your own productions in a set but you have to mix it up. You can't have the same sound throughout for 3 hours. It was nice hearing some songs played out but he really needed to switch it up. I guess I have to agree with everyone else here.

there are a lot of DJs that whore their own stuff a lot. see Nu NRG (Giuseppi Ottaviani) and Deadmau5.
the thing is, Shah sucks. above dudes have talent therefore their own tunes are better. and they also produce different style of stuff, not just same crap. (see Aly and Fila for another guilty party)

I'm a massive fan of DJ Shah/Sunlounger but I was not feeling it at all. I enjoyed when he played who will find me and white sand but that was pretty early in the night.
I left for the Gallery with my friends, enjoyed the rest of our night there...it was absolutely nuts I'm not even sure who the DJ was around 330am but he was killing it!

damn i didn't know Gallery was open! That might have been better.

Thing is, he isn't a DJ, he's a live performer. I thought deadmau5 was also but apparently now he actually does spin in his sets (he also IDed some stuff here that he was spinning so I'll take it that his show is half DJing/half performing or something along these lines). Shah doesn't DJ in his livesets either to my knowledge. He performs all his own productions and famous classics from other producers with his equipment. If he was djing last night at guv, which I'm not saying is impossible as he does have a radio show so he is capable, it would be a first in a very long time for him.
I've never been very big on Shah as a producer except for a few tracks and his live pa's have been nothing less than a travelling circus act from all the info I can gather. These reviews do not surprise me in the least as his music belongs no where near a club and a place like guv is waaaaay too big for that sound.
