I have read a few reviews on certain compilations and mixes recently.
Seems there is a feeling of cheapness and bundle 'em up and sell em cheap going on.
We are all used to the spin and advertising of countless trance ,house ,psy and even fringe electronic genre releases flooding the forum boards.
But I feel its time for this industry aswell as the whole music scene to implode on itself .
But what happens after?
Major labels are running at a loss to plug music and this can only go on for so long.
Quality is declining in order to mass produce artist material.
Artists , execs, and staff are laid off due to collapsing sales.
Hardware manufacturers are going into administration due to lack of demand.
Torrenting of music production software piracy has ceased due to companys going bust due to low sales.
People finally consume 100% of the record market as illegal download.
Everything goes bust.
Even recycled complation albums are then torrented and got hold of for free.
The money has gone. Its now a free industry.
What happens then? |

| Trance big names wouldn't need to think about MTV then. |

No more MTV for them. |
That's not saying much. MTV is already not a place for music. |

People are always willing to buy a product if it is good enough. A good example, while in a totally different format would be the game Dwarf fortress, the developer releases it for free and people donate. He made around $30,000 last year and the game is not even half way done (though there are a lot of features) |
