Okay I have to call it like it is. Sorry chief.
This mostly bored the off me. Yes there are 3 or 4 very spectacular tracks on this mix but there was no light or shade....... well there was plenty of shade. Some of the transitions felt like they went forever when I just wanted to move on already.............. I look to your mixes for fresh exciting ideas and examples of what is fresh in the electronic scene but honestly felt this was mostly a yawn....
Maybe its an example of what works in a club setting not working in other settings .. I am not sure...
Your mixing was faultless and you can certainly program a set together but this one was lacking excitement and heart.. Not sure if the harry has made a big return in LA ? this set would suit a smokey opium den I am sure....
Take my criticism with a grain of salt champ but I know you have better taste than this.......

Coincidentally, I think this is why I enjoyed it so much.

Now that you are playing to clubs have you found you have changed what you play as opposed to mixes from bedroom for internet consumption? I hope not mate . |
