palm is dead, thats why! deleted facebook, myspace, msn and all that to put all my internettime into TA instead! it feels freely. |
You might aswell go the whole hog and delete yourself, too.
I don't see the need for all the whining to be honest. The guy is only sharing some production tips, he hasn't said he's going to rape all of your mothers. |

Seriously guys...Seriously?
I also learned something quite valuable here. Even if you are the best DJ in the world, coming across in an arrogant manner only leads to flames.
Now, I bet that if the op truly was a good DJ/producer really worth his salt, he would have simply offered a kickass tutorial under an Alias without hinting as to whom he or she was. Then, let us try and figure it out. At least, that's what I would do if I were free to register on these forums under any alias I saw fit...

Missed that one :) |

| OP - 4 years is like nothing tbh! I squeeze in 30+ hours a week for the last 4 years myself and I'm an obsessive freak yet still I have a wankload to learn. |

I would concede that it is possible - that a guy (or girl) who claims to be 17 years old could be producing quality music within four years of beginning music production. They would, I believe, have had to be trained in piano, from a very young age. They would also have had time to learn music theory and they would definitely need a mentor. If they spent time in a recording studio, as a session musician for instance, they'd have lots of exposure to various techniques.
There are those, too, who are music savants. I've met one of these guys - he wasn't, at all, retarded, was very competitive (athletically, too) and could be a total douche-bag; but also out-played me on the piano 100 ways from Sunday, and then some. He didn't know jack about music theory but I'm sure if he sat down in front of a DAW, he'd have it figured out inside 30 days.
So - it is possible. |

Maor Levi is proof enough of that. |

Jesus, man - I am out of the loop with these new artists popping up. HA! And he even uses Fruity Loops.
I'm assuming I should give him a listen, then. I was half-way hoping to be googling a picture of a lulcat creeping up the inside of someone's jeans.
At least that wouldn't be so hard on my inferiority complex. ;) |
