Disappointed by Bonzai's first promo shipment

I just got it today and it really sucks
It's supposed to be a PROMO shipment, but all 5 vinyls i got have been released in the past few weeks...i'm kinda mad...
See for yourself :
Prayers - Imagination 2002 (XTC)
Matanka - Lost In A Dream 2002 (Camouflage)
Jens Lissat - Energy Flow (Bonzai Classics)
The Lounge - Free Your Mind (Bonzai Trance Progressive)
Crash Guard - Conclusion (Bonzai Limited)
What sucks even more is that i got Manatanka - Lost In A Dream 2002 today from Juno, thinking it would not be included in the promo shipment..on the Bonzai site, they said they would only send stuff to be released at least one month after the shipment.
This package was sent via DHL, so it came here faster than regular Bonzai shipments, was sent on July 11th
Was it the case for all others who got the same shipment as mine ?
Btw...who wants my spare copy of Matanka - Lost In A Dream 2002 (with Push remix)..?? |

I was going to apply for the Bonzai Mailing list aswell, Just didnt get round to doing it, Hope month two brings you better stuff.

Just one thing, there is a difference between the release date on the web-site of lightnings and the real date ...
Prayers - Imagination 2002 (XTC), released last week
Matanka - Lost In A Dream 2002 (Camouflage), not on local shop
Jens Lissat - Energy Flow (Bonzai Classics), released last week
The Lounge - Free Your Mind (Bonzai Trance Progressive), last of this week, it depends of your geografic situation
Crash Guard - Conclusion (Bonzai Limited), ??? |

Well, the positive thing is that, afert having made the calculus, each vinyl only costs €5.90, which is nice...shipping included !

And yes, No-s, you're right, the dates on their site and in the shops and online shops never correspond..that has always puzzled me

Ray_Finkle and DJ Charlie, you'll find all info there
As for other lables who do the promo things, i know of Hooj and its other label subdivisions (like LostLanguage) but they also propose a larger range of other (UK-based i think) record labels.
Like, Cafe del Marco is currently available if you subscribe to the promo service there, www.hooj.com , as well as the new remixes of Seven Cities !
Then, there is Well-Wicked who proposes a promo service, (of their releases, nu-nrg kind of stuff) and also Platipus ( www.platipus.com ) |

Yea... you should be pissed getting all that quality musik in one shipment. What, do you want to get it the same time all the big name DJ's gets them??? I guess it they sent you more, it would be better. I thought they would send you like 10 records at a time. How often are you getting vinyls with your plan??? |

Man that hooj.com promo list sounds really cool. 5 english pounds per record? Not too shabby. A few questions for any of you who are on this list:
Does that price include shipping anywhere?
What is the selection like? The guy a couple of posts above me said the new Solar stone- 7 cities AVB mix was one of the promos so that's not too shabby.
Is it worth it?

Well, i feel myself in my own right to be upset about it because i subscribed to their promo thing for the very reason they were PROMOS and that they were going to be sent one month AHEAD of time, before official release, so i feel like i've been partially "ripped off"...
Oc course i can't complain about the quality of these vinyls and it's nice to get 5 at a time.
They said they would send them 5 by 5, every other week. |
