I think I was the only person in the place that didn't know Gareth wasn't showing up, lol. I was quickly informed, but it didn't matter still had a great time. Ad had a great set, and Zack always knows how to push it up an extra notch to get the crowd going nuts. I really liked when Zack and Ad tagged for about an hr, I think they should of played for another hr.

When Glen came on I didn't know what to expect from him. I am a fan of his productions, but never heard any sets from him. Well I can say he didn't play any of his stuff, I think maybe one or two tracks. I didn't know 99% of the tracks in the first hr and half. In the beginning it was ok, not great, but then I guess he realized it was a Gareth crowd, and started to bring in the trance. That's when I thought he was at his best.

Overall fun night.

p.s.

How the hell does a volcano in Iceland effect flights to the U.S. from London, lol.

well the two countries are fairly close plus you throw wind currents into the mix. i can image something similar happened when mount st helens erupted in 1980, i know the ash circled the world eventually but can't tell you how dense it was. i do know it moved from the west coast to the east coast in a matter of days...

The ash is circulating in a 1200 mile radius around the volcano. Ash from volcanos in the past have brought down two major plans because it gets sucked into the engine and causes engine failure. Because most planes fly in that direction, coming *towards* North America, it causes extremely dangerous conditions for flying. Thats the short version. ;)

Zack: :) no worries, I know you wouldnt do it on purpose! ;) Next time!

Then the movie 2012 is full of crap, they are flying through ash through out the whole movie, lol. Oh I forget that move has more flaws than just flying through ash. Like people who barely can fly a plane, maneuver like pros, and can fly a giant cargo plane.

you can always take a $5,000 cab ride to other airports.

John Cleese takes $5000 cab ride as volcanic eruption strands thousands

Had a fun time for my first Pacha experience. Wasn't going in with high expectations for great music, so I wasn't disappointed. The tunes were pretty inconsistent all night, but I enjoyed the end of Glenn Morrison!

My focus of the night was just getting a bit sloshy and socializing. The crowd at Pacha that night was very... interesting, Everywhere I turned there was something weirdly entertaining... LOVE the go go dancing up top.. Picture of the night! haha. T'was nice meeting a few of you NYTAs.

I really enjoyed Ad Brown's & Zack's set, caught the last hour or so of it. Glenn Morrison I didn't really care for much..as everyone probably noticed he was all over the place, which probably works for some people. for a good half hour or so he played nothing but repetitive filler. the music was much better downstairs when I went down.

ending with the classics was cool. when I heard BT's Mercury & Solace coming in I couldn't believe it, I was like it can't be that, has to be another track. the last time I heard that song in a club was probably my 1st year on the scene, the very 1st time I stepped into Twilo..Sasha was playing that & it was a great moment.

wish I could have enjoyed the classics & the night in general more but my head was aflame & I was fighting a fkg fever all night, otherwise I would have :whip:

I had a great time last weekend at this one. I was a little nervous going in that it was going to be a weeird night just because of Gareth not being there and then the rain that night. But by 12:30 there was a nice crowd in there.

I really liked Zack and Ad's set a lot. They both have similar sounds, that it wasn't an awkward tag team.

Glenn I thought was decent. He played a lot of tracks that I thought were cool for maybe a minute or two, but after that got a little boring. I also think part of it was his actual djing style. He let a lot of tracks play out all the way to to the end, just mixing intros and outros. Its not a big deal, but I think if he played less of each song and mixed quicker, it would have kept it a bit more interesting. But later in the night, he started picking it up and I really was starting to get into him.

Good seeing everyone out though. Lot of familiar faces / TAs in the building. :)

im currently now obsessed with glenn morrison.

he has like no tour dates listed. this makes me sad. i want to see him again...ASAP

my slightly drunk ass decided at the end of the night while still in awe of the set to walk up to Glenn and say

"omg....i was so nervous about your set at first- you opened for Armin and it wasnt my style!"

he makes a face and a giggle and i quickly realise that was NOT a compliment

I try to save face with
"no no no i mean, i LOVED THIS SET! I was in heaven i loved it so much!!"

i am not sure if i made my point very well. it was responded with

"here you want a picture? come over here"

hahahahahhah sams not allowed to drink anymore

but in all seriousness i loved the set. there was a song- i think the last one? the lyrics went something like "how can i wait for you if you will never come"

does ANYONE know what that song was???????
