I have a dj setup and am wondering how I can view the "wave" format of the tracks I play from my CDJ's on my laptop.
What software, or equipement is needed for this? |

First you have to "rip" your track from cd onto your computer.
Then you can open file for example in Goldwave - or Audacity, that one is free. I think Goldwave isn't free. |

ok great, but is there a way I can view the wave format from the CDJ's (Numark ICDX), if theres a way I can hook them up to my laptop? I want to view the "wave" as I am mixing the 2 turntables. |

I'm pretty sure that Serato/Traktor/etc. would be your only option. |

So I can simply download this software and I am ready to go? Do i need any other type of equipment or adapter? |

Unfortunately you would have to buy Serato/Traktor/etc. The software isn't free. Do a google search, I'm sure there's something outhere which can do what you want it too. |

Best thing to do is pick up a DVS (digital vinyl system. i.e. Serato, Traktor, Torq, Mix Vibes, etc). Or if not see if Numark has some kind of software for there cd players which let you see the waveform on a computer. That's the only way I know of. |
