Hello Tranceaddict,

Longtime EDM listener here, I've been reading TA for years(I forgot my original login/pw though). I can remember as it was yesterday as my days as a little raver in the LA scene more than 10 years ago sneaking out of my parents house... Now, I'm about to finish up grad school but I've always had friends come to me and ask me about new music I find and I decided to make a blog to post my findings.

I recently came listened to an interesting artist named "Phonat". I posted one of his youtube videos on my blog and then went searching for one of his sets. What I found absolutely blew me away.

Phonat's style spans across all genres of electronic music. Whether its Indie, House, Downtempo, or Drum n Bass, this guy knows how to do it right. He is able to blend together rhythmic electro pop synths with some serious bass riffs. Its rather difficult for Phonat's music to be defined by a single style of electronic music. Phonat has a true appreciation of the interconnection between all styles of dance music. With his clear musical talent, he is able to share this appreciation thru his songs. The more and more I listen to his music, the more I realize how much of a musical genius he is. His self-titled album is ridiculous and is a MUST download for anyone who appreciates any form of EDM. Phonat is redefining electronic music as we speak. He is, in my opinion, one of the leading pioneers in electronic music these days and will continue to shake up EDM in the coming years.

I am doing this blog as a free service to my friends and any reader to come across it, this is not a paid-promotion for Phonat. I just thought I'd like a way to share my music opinions with the community in a condensed version without having to go through pages of comments/replies.

No.

No no. You're confusing Phonat with Phoenix. Phoenix is the electro pop mozart of today. Check it:
