Some nice sounds and here are my comments:
Overall, I would say there is a bit too much "top" in the mix; the high hat becomes irritating after a while especially as its on the offbeat.
I like your transitions but I suggest you need to use EQ some more which would improve your mix enormously; there is a lot of clashing with the top ends of several of your sounds which tends to create a mash of noise at times. I don't know how you listened to your mix but there doesn't seem to be a lot of the mids coming through.
At times the track loses energy and I think its because there is an imbalance of the lows, mids and highs.
However, overall I think its a good track that tries to be different than many others whilst having some quite clever arrangements and transitions so I definitely think it is worth persevering with getting the mix right. |
