i'm glad i went to Circus for Victor's birthday set. i'm not really into trance anymore but i will always dance to good music and victor seriously delivered! he kept the dance floor packed until the end. he definitely plays much harder than the last time i saw him spin (probably about 2 years ago) which i love!!!!
his track "tonight you are perfect" was great and that JOC track was amazing too! the crowd loved every minute of it.
didn't really see too much of steve's set, just too trancey for me but glen's set was good.
nice to see a lot of people i haven't seen in quite some time since i don't make it out to circus that much anymore.

one MAJOR complaint though, when you sign up for a list for $20 after 10:30 and i get there a little after 11 pm and they try to say everyone is paying $30 that is complete BULL!!! i didn't pay it, i asked if the guy standing there was one of the promoters and he said he was and i told him i signed up on TA. don't advertise one thing and then try and do another. you lose lots of respect as promoters and it's just bad business!!!!! anywhere else i go, list don't close until 1:00 am. the list table was already gone when i got there.

but i'm glad to see that they were back in the booth, that is the best part about circus, that is what makes it unique and they should not try and do a stage, it never feels the same when they do that.

Oh and it was good seeing quite a few people that I hadn't seen in awhile. That always adds to the sweetness of the night. :D

Gracias!

Good to see you too Trin! I had fun closing the Loft :) Ended up doing a combo with my other friend who is also a DJ. We should've taken over the backroom instead, we had constantly about 30-40 people dancing upstairs until they closed! :)

Took a picture with Glenn Morisson too, he's such a nice guy.

Fun night overall! Good energy, good crowd, and good Beef & Chicken Quesadilla!!

Honestly, I do remember who you are now. I do recall charging you only $20 eventhough I didn't even check the guestlist and went by what you said. The promotion is $10 b4 10:30 and $20 after only if you are on the guestlist. But your name wasn't on there. By the way, when was the last time we charge $30 for double headliner? Damn, it's hard to please everybody!!!! Try going to Avalon and get in for $20 at the door for a headliner and see what happen next. Never get recognize but always get BITCH at. This is BULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My name is Johnny if you need to come and see or talk to in the future.

there was no list or table out there and i did sign up on TA, you didn't even look at a list b/c there wasn't one out. the sign at the window said $30 and I WAS ON THE LIST so check it again (Sarah Barry). i have gone to Avalon tons of times and gotten in for $15 and $20. and you charged $30 the last time John OO Fleming was there which was insane too. So Johnny, I've been going to Circus for over 6 years and i rarely go there now b/c of the attitude you have on the TA boards. you are supposed to be a business man, no you aren't going to please everyone but get over yourself, stop saying one thing and then doing another at the door. the list table was gone when i got there just after 11 pm so what fcking list did you even say you checked.

i love this scene and have many friends in it but you make it ty with your attitude. i was simply pointing out that you guys say you are only charging $20 after 10:30 pm and then the door says another thing. just do what you say you're going to do and people won't get pissed. really makes me not want to ever come back to Circus regardless of who is spinning there!

Back then when John O Fleming we also had Super 8& Tab. So please check your sources. But anyway your right, I should be like a business man and not get intosituation like this with customer that comes only once or twice a year.I'm sorry. My apologies. Never again will I do this.

I print screen the guestlist confirmation and send it to my gmail just in case, though have never had a problem at Circus. But if I do, I draw out my iPhone like a true guestlist warrior, have solved the "sorry mate, you're not on the list" situation many times this way...has probably paid for my iPhone...lol :D

What also helps is signing up on multiple guest lists, since every damn place has so many guest lists.

Sign up on malias, lmds, the opening dj, and whoever else's you can find. It's better safe than sorry when you see those 5 people sharing 4? cluster lists.

I think everyone is clear it was:
$10 before 10:30 with guest list
$20 after 10:30 with guest list
$30 general admission

Since everyone likes the Avalon comparisons, the Avalon guest lists I see are up to a certain time and don't have discounted admission after that time.

Now the fact that LMD advertised for it but after 10:30 there was no list to be checked is not good. Even if the table is gone, the list should be at the window.

For me, knowing that I was going for sure but around midnight, presales was cheaper than signing up for the guest list. I have to say I was disappointed that the Thrillseekers set had started earlier because of the unexpected addition of the 2nd headliner. The point is again you can't please everybody, expecially with surprises!

It works best when you say "Trinity's list". :toocool:

I usually do the guest list and though we closed the table a little after 11 there was a list at the window. I have on many occassions let someone in who said that they signed up but their name wasn't on the guest list due to the fact that myself or the LMD guys recognize them as a regular customer. With that said, there's sometimes human/computer errors. Let's acknowledge LMD for their hardwork and dedication. They've charged $30 at the door what? maybe 3 times in the last 12 months? And that's when they have double headliners. Let's thank them for all the $5 sales that they had for us to see top talent. Even with Thrillseekers, there was a $10 sale two days before the event. I agree with you, can't please everyone.

Yes! After a loud clap of thunder, a red carpet rolls out for the uniformed guards on horses to escort you in! I love Trin's guestlist.

Afterthought: Trying hard to recall whether this happens on the wsy into Circus or after a few drinks from Ernesto...either way, it's all good! :D
