That's entirely dependent on which plugins are running. Each plugin uses a different amount of DSP on the card, so while you may be able to run 20 instances of 1176LN, you may only be able to run 2 instances of Manley Massive Passive EQ. |

The 4 included plugins don't use a lot of CPU, so that should be fine. However, the included plugins are really not all that great, so I'd question if you even need the card if you are only going to use the included plugins. |

Pultec is about the only one that I think is any good in the included ones. The CS1 is OK, but its not any better or worse than most included native channel strips or individual EQ/Compressor plugins. |

Only 2 instances of Manley Massive Passive? Why? Does it dramatically improve sound? When I think of something using that much DSP, I think of it as something that does amazing things to the sound passing through it. |

Not sure, I haven't purchased it yet, but all reports from users who do have it indicates that it uses up to 60% of a single DSP chip. For that much CPU, I'd hope it sounds amazing. I'll find out in a few weeks here when i get my UAD-2 Quad. |

I dunno what way it is with the solo but when i got my first uad i got the cs-1, also included ex-1 compressor (which is part of cs-1), phasor, modfilter and delay, all of which i love and i think the ex-1 is very underrated, certainly kicks the arse out of the ableton compressor imo. |
