Heads up for anyone who has to take the train through this area tonight. They are evacuating Pickering station due to hazardous materials in the tankers on the train.

PICKERING, Ont. — Several cars of a CN Rail freight train have derailed near a GO Transit station in Pickering, Ont., just east of Toronto.

Police say no one was hurt, and there is no need for an evacuation.

They also say it appears there's no leakage.

As many as nine rail cars went off the tracks, although it's not yet clear why.

CN officials have been unavailable for comment.

GO Transit says the 3:45 p.m. Union to Pickering train trip will terminate at Rouge Hill due to the derailment. GO buses will be provided for passengers traveling from Rouge Hill to Pickering.

It only effects the Lake Shore East line, not West.

Big time fail, and I'm counting my lucky stars
One of the freight cars smashed through a break room that I'm in every day. Somehow it was vacant when the train went down.
