I am looking for a small recording device that lets you can record your live DJ sets.
I came across these:
http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/MicroTrackII.html
http://www.tascam.com/products/dr-1;9,12,3594,14.html
Wondering if anyone uses these or has an recommenations.
Thank you |

Has anyone used these before?
there is also the Tascam DR-7 which is cheaper than the DR-1.
I would be using it with a pioneer djm800 mixer to record live. Any experiences with the audio quality?
Are any of these capable of recording both the music from the mixer and a seperate microphone to record the crowd?
Thanks! |

| While I haven't used either of the two audio recorders that you linked, I have used an audio recorder for doing interviews before. The quality, depending on the recorder's settings, can be very high quality. |

| I have the DR-7 and used it multiple times with a DJM-500. Does the job well. |

| Damn you can buy a netbook for these prices. |

But a netbook will have a very crappy DAC in it.
The Zoom H2 is like $130 now. |
