It was the mashup of This is Our Night and Kids by MGMT that he played close to the end of his set when he was in Guv in 2009.

Are you talking about bikini-tutu-pacifier girl?

Crazy awesome vibe in there yesterday. Sander K's set was pretty good, but wasn't nearly as epic as his last time out. It may have had something to do with the crowd (at least in the KH) being more into the party than the music.

WHAT A NIGHT!!!
Q for you folks - I was in the tent for some fresh air post-Armin and when "Aly & Fila" were supposed to be spinning the video feed only showed one guy - was that Aly or Fila? Where was the other DJ?

i kept asking myself why i went and why i was still there.
great friends, some great times.
but suicide was on my mind 99% of the night.

capacity at 12:15! yikes! insanity

+1

Never again to event of that magnitude. I have just waited for guetta and armin to finish, because i knew once they were done the night would really start off. which turned to be true by 3:30 half the people where gone and party kicked in plenty of dance space.

Plus as stated above sander was way better last time around then last night.

Random Thoughts
-During Patterson set, some dude was staring at me for like 10mins. He asked, ‘yo, what are you on man?’ I replied, ‘trance dude.’ Him ‘huh? Trance?’ Me: ‘yeah. Listen to the tune!’ Dude walks away like I’m sort of crackhead
-9 hours of partying sober is tough on the body. I’m getting too old for this lol
-chicks. my god. entire complex was full of smoking hot chicks. hello sensory overload!
-Some dude asked me if I was El disturbo, Chinamon. LOL
-Me: Man, tomorrow is like last chance I’ll get proper rice
Jay: Aren’t you going to get rice overseas?
Me: no. I ain’t eating no terrorist rice!
-Kris’s pic of dude losing shoe at Guv. Oh the sketch
-Veronica and I were talking about the spotlight and carnival feeling of the Guv and what do we see inside the tents outside? Cotton candy and popcorn machine! LOL!
-Random dude talking to his friend. ‘Yo, who’s on the stage right now?’ You can’t see the Jesus pose and the big screen that says ‘Armin van Buuren’ on the back? Please, remove yourself on the gene pool
-chinamon drunk. oz drunk. lulz
-Kotsy to Oz: hey David Guetta, aren't you suppose to be spinning in the Koolhaus?
-I think I pwned Nadatron and Bouncing Veronica on the danceoff. So proud of myself *tear* lol
-I also think I scared the bejesus out of Nada. Sorry!
-Next person that asks me for drugs is going to get a throat punch. Do I look like a drug dealer? lol
-The gino who tried to do lightshow on the Drink booth while Tyas was spinning. You are not cool. Punch yourself in the balls
-Seeing some of my TOTA family for the last time this year. Thanks for all the best wishes and I hope to see all of you on the dancefloor in future :)

lmfao!!!!

Armin's intro was super epic and a moment i'll never forget. My BF put me on his shoulders right in the centre of main room just as he came on. The visual i have of the thousands of people glued together with their hands in the air and their voices roaring over the "State of Trance" introduction was legendary. We attempted to watch him for the first 30 min of his set, and then realized we weren't even dancing at all since there was no room. We finally met up with some of the TAs at the back near the main room entrance... thank god for that. There was room to dance!!! :D The 450 angels rocked!

Highlight of my night was in the drink before Tyas came on. A couple years ago, my BF and I had driven 9 hours through a snow storm to see him at Stereo in Montreal, and last year we flew to NYC to see him at Websters Hall. Both times we had a chance to ask him to come play at Guv in Toronto, and said that it has always been a dream of his to play here. Last night our convo with Sean was pretty awesome when he remembered us. I said "so you're finally here playing at the Guvernment!", he said "I'm so excited about this, I've made it!"... <3

Firstly,

SIMON ****IN PATTERSON AND SEAN TYAS. :eyespop: :eyespop:

Man that was awesome. Patterson had me going from the beginning of his set and never let up. Loved the Suburban train remix that Tyas opened with, plus there was much more room to dance since a lot of folks left after Armin.

we got there around 10 to avoid the lineup, so i got to catch most of arnej's set :) by the time armin came on we were rammed right up to the front and could barely move... ridiculous. on top of that, people were shoving to get photos right in armin's face, making moving around quite difficult, let alone dancing. not as uncomfortable as it was at deadmau5, but wow man. still had a wicked time though, but at one point it was getting hard to breathe so we switched rooms :nervous: Irufushi!! :)

not a guetta fan but definitely didn't mind the scene in the koolhaus. also caught some of deko-ze in the gallery... bumpin. friends got tired so we left around 6, missed signum :(

all in all, wicked night! apparently cover was raised to $100 by the end of the night
