| I've received some TV commercial work lately and i'm trying to load a video into ableton (works fine) but upon playback the video skips & jumps. i have a dual screen set up with a ATI Radeon Graphics HD 2600 Pro (256mb) installed on my system. is this my issue? do i not have a card with enough ram? are there any other system preferences i can check (windows) to help this sluggishness (but i still need decent video quality). |

What windows are you running?
It could be a incorrect driver for the card and you also might want to check your system's/card's hardware accelerations settings. |

| HD 2600 is a pretty low end card, it would cost you very little do a big upgrade from it. |

| Agree with Subtle here, it might be time to do an upgrade - regardless of your problems... |

Wierd.
I have the mobile version of the HD2600 in my laptop and it runs HD video fine, although i've not tried it within DAW to be honest.
Is there a video buffer setting that needs tweaking perhaps and does it run the same video OK outside Live? |
