I refuse to use any NI products... they've all perpetually crashed and been buggy. They seem to get worse with every update and when they do work (for a brief moment in time) they're such cpu hogs. I ditched battery 2 and started using RMIV. |
I can understand that - but ive been using Battery for the last 5 years, i cant be bothered switching to anything else now, despite its bugginess i still think its a great drum sampler
@ Magnus - not sure about the windows browser, i know exactly what you are talking about but i just use the battery audition window and no i dont think you can drag n drop still - ridiculous |

I'm not at my DAW right now but when I get home tonight I will check this out because I am sure you can drag and drop. I know I can drag and drop from my Sonar browser into Battery 3 so can't see why it can't be done from within B3 itself. |

Well I can tell you that it definitely supports samples drag and drops into cells:)
For me, its a completely stable synth; its top of my synth user freqeuncy chart;) |

Ha! must try this out later - about time too NI! - now all they need to do is fix the library audition bug and ill be happy enough again |

| This is very interesting indeed. So you can drag and drop samples into cells from anywhere? Or do they have to be dragged from out of the Battery 3 browser? |

| I can drop samples from within the B3 browser; from within Sonar's browser and direct from windows.:) |

yeah drag and drop from windows now works! must try drag and drop from ableton's browser but that might be pushing it ;)
Ive discovered something else that is irritating me and wasnt in the previous versions as far as i can remember
If you have a sample in a cell and want to to get rid of it and choose another, if you delete the cell it loses its routing....so say your snare/clap is on channel 5/6 and you want to change the sample, when you delete it the cell routing will revert to Master instead of staying at 5/6
I reported this to NI support and was told this is now the default behaviour :( - of course i could choose replace sample but then this opens a dialog window and i have to browse for the sample - id rather just drop it in from the battery browser |

| Seems like the library auditioning problem is a known bug in v3.06. I am on 3.04 and will stick with it until 3.1 is released. Seems theres a lot of p****d off B3 users on the NI forum about this bug.:( |

yeah it makes listening to a potential sample "on beat" very hard - hopefully 3.1 will get it back to normal. |

Interesting. So I tried this myself and still cannot drag from Windows into a cell using the VST version. However using the standalone version it works just fine. |
