Our videos/pics aren't up yet, but this video just gave me the chills.

I was posted up front the whole damn night, 9 hours straight! Amazing night!

Great video man, glad you had fun. What was your favorite set of the night? Did that mc get annoying? Post the pics!

MC wasn't too bad...not as bad as I have heard on broadcasts from the past.

best sets for me, probably I would say Sander van Doorn, Gareth Emery. Markus was great of course. Above & Beyond kinda was eh...at least all 3 were there. Nic Chagall was really good too. Simon & Sean probably 2 of my favorites, but by 6:30 am I could barely stand...so was tough on me. Also caught Arnej, who was decent. There were 4 areas, we ventured only briefly away from the main stage. Jaarburs is just just huge it wasn't work leaving your spot and making the trek to another stage (it was only worth it when BT was playing in order to catch Arnej heheh), there was too much risk they would close the door on the main stage.

The funny thing was when they brought in Armin over on satellite from ASOT 450. I thought it was a bit stupid for them to drop down a video screen and people would dance to that. It's already enough that we stand and watch someone play CDs!

I had heard there crowd problems last year but I didn't there were any. Really well done, easy bathroom access, bars were quick, people were cool.

The only thing I would say sucked was the token scheme for the bar. You think you are getting a deal, but really you are getting screwed. And 4-ounce beers you have to be kidding me.

so, I opted not to buy a Trance Energy shirt.

I would definitely go again, and was way way better than Love Fields (the only other Dutch festival I had attended before)

Tyas and Patterson = best thing there is for hard trance at the moment.

Not gonna disagree, but add Bryan Kearney, Kutski, Scott Attrill, and Yoji to that list :D

I haven't found their set, but there is a big radio-rip package with a bunch of other of the sets from TE on alldj.org

Will definitely look harder for it though.

I just realized all our vids are on my friends camera, and he's still in Europe for another 2 weeks, so those will have to wait. I'll check out my pics though. I had to use iso 1600 with zoom though, so no guarantees, should be a few cool shots though.

I hope I get to go back. I met people there who go every year, very jealous, but glad I finally got to go!

hah, wtf is the name of that MC that's on EVERY FRIGGIN LIVE SET?!

i think a ton of the sets are recorded with links in the TE thread in tracklist requests. From the broadcasts - I really enjoyed Marco Vs set.

I second that, those that hear the podcasts know that he has some consistant super trance.

unfortunately patterson wants to change his style to more vocals. So when that happens, looks like its tyas for me and the few listed above as hard trance's last hope.

In previous years, I timed myself walking from the back of the main room to the front and it took 8 full minutes, walking along the side between the bars and the crowd. That's a long room. The massive crowd and venue is nothing like you've ever seen. Last year, when Armin came on, they had to close the entrance to the main room because the crowd from 3 other rooms were all pouring in. Luckily, we had stayed in the main area because 1)we didn't want to miss anyone in the main stage and 2)there was a fight that broke out in the area between rooms which made us turn around and stay.("crowd problem") Otherwise, it's THE best organized event I've ever been to, from the ticket sales, to the security/lockers, and to the bars/food stands. Even the crowd, with the exception of that single incident, was great. Everyone knew the music, people of all ages from many different countries(flags waving), no rude people pushing their way through without apologizing, and no e-puddles to be seen.

They also measure out each shot and prohibit serving straight shots, meaning that they will only sell it as mixed drinks. If you want to get drunk, you'll be drinking a lot of volume. Fortunately, we knew this 2nd year so we had a whole group drinking outside prior to entrance.(got drinks at the train station)

MC Mighty Mike is the one who is at a lot of ID&T events, including Trance Energy/Sensation, but I heard he wasn't the MC this year. As annoying as he can be, I think he's now become part of the experience so many returning party-goers were disappointed at the new guy, apparently.
