DJ Heather from Chicago has made quite the name for herself since making her debut in Toronto in 1995. With 15 years of experience behind her she has grown to become one of the Windy City's main DJ exports. She is an artist who defies conformity, defines quality and continues to nurture her technical skills which have won her several awards around the globe as a top female house music DJ.
For many people in Toronto, Heather takes them back to the renaissance of Chicago House that started in the mid 90's when the likes of Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak and Mark Farina put the windy city back on the map as leaders in the global house music movement. Industry Nightclub in Toronto was a major benefactor of this movement with Heather and her above mentioned 'big brothers' coming back regularly to please. Heather has also reached global popularity through her mixed CD's on OM Records. She has toured the world to promote them along with her label Blackcherry Recordings. The rise of DJ Heather to one of the best at her craft has come after years of dedicated hard work and devoted fans who come out time after time to dance the night away!
From her early days of blowing our minds at Industry Nightclub, DJ Heather has gone on to perform at several Boogie Inc. events at hot spots all over Toronto including Footwork, Revival and The Mod Club. i opened for her, got into the spirit of things too much, and ended up having a crazy night and went to work on no sleep the next day. good times!
