| whats the best tutorial to look for on synthesis...i no the the basics like all the different waves, filters, adsr ect im looking for a more in depth tutorial how to create leads, pads, basses with a more pro sound...any help is much appreciated ;) |

| Just mess around in your DAW until you find something you like. Also, focusing on making clean sounds is a good thing. |

that link atxbigballer1 posted is exactly what i was after a nice quick tutorial that explained everything very well...now i can experiment properly with a better idea how it all works.

This is the vaguest suggestion i've read in years.
The BEST synthesis tutorial is from Cubaseguru (i'm watching it all for the second time this week)

I think the most important thing to understand first is the signal path and how it flows. From there, learn how to modify and control the signal with things like filters/modulation/envelopes.
Very basic but once you know them have fun and experiment and learn more complex synthesis techniques. |

Did you fork out the £35 quid for the full tutorial? And did you use Zebra as per the course or did you find what it explained easily tranferable to say, Sylenth? |

| Since you said you already know the basics, best thing now may be to try imitating some of your favorite sounds, and start figuring out how your abstract knowledge of oscillators, filters, ADSR, and so on corresponds to the sounds that the synth actually makes. Sound on Sound's Synth Secrets tutorial helped me get started down that road. |
