DRUM & BASS VERSUS DUBSTEP AND OLDSCHOOL HIP HOP!
GREMLINZ (Xtinction Agenda, Renegade Hardware)
There's been a constant rumble coming from Canada within the Jungle and Drum & Bass scenes, and while their passion has been strong and their releases were mighty, they've gone overlooked for years... Enter in producers like Gremlinz, who went from that heavy, breakbeat-massacring camp and have siphoned his sound onto some of the top tier labels in the scene, gaining ample respect with each single and EP dropped.
Following his debut on Metalheadz MDZ04 Lp, Gremlinz has dropped tracks on a number of labels, and with each release, the accolades have poured in. His style is multi-faceted, allowing him to drop both pulsating, breakbeat-heavy B-Boy affairs to the more understated, dub-heavy tunes seemingly at will. His production style has been well-received on both sides of the pond, and landed him a spot on Loxy & Ink's HORSEMEN collective, aligning him with a superb stable of producers.

ILLFINGAS (Bottom Line Kru, Vinyl Syndicate, Fortress)
Some may say they “make it look easy.” Not Tommy. He works hard for his money. One of the most entertaining Dj’s to watch. His passion for sound can easily be seen as he utilizes every tool available to high tune his sound. He’s the producer who brought you “Another Sound” in years gone by and numerous other smash releases on Fortress, Vinyl Syndicate as well as some smaller independent Canadian labels.
For the past couple years Illfingas has been in locked in the lab, reinvigorating his approach to Drum and Bass. The new work showcases his extreme craftsmanship and dedication to the art of music making. Known to laboriously cut and splice miles of drums or edit 300 guitar samples for a single track, Illfingas puts high definition complexity over top of the most soul crushing of basslines. His next level productions are set to throw Toronto on it's face in 2010.

HYDRA (Syncronus, Surface Sundays)
Hydra combines style and substance on the decks. Over the years Hydra has also been involved in a variety of D&B projects. Most recently she is keeping busy co-running the Syncronus promotions. Her style tends to lean towards the deep techno side of the spectrum, but she can shift into different styles when the vibe is right. Her favourite finds are tunes with a certain type of understated raw energy, that makes people want to dance.

SIDENOTE (Sensoria, Dubslingers)
You all probably know Sidenote by now, Sensoria resident, he’ll be playing an eclectic selection of heavy dance vibes spanning from techno to dubstep to woteva. His set sounds like music, its prolly close to 140bpm, but it’ll keep you moving and you won’t have a chance to ask “what genre is this?” Strictly a Love and Bass affair.

LINK (Dubslingers)
Link was introduced into the Dubstep scene through the very roots of Dubslingers. Being there from the start, she progressively honed her skills on the decks, becoming a full-fledged member of the Dubslingers crew. With an unrelenting love for bass and a constant drive to find the freshest dubs, her sets are bound to keep the crowd moving.
