SOMEONE SHOULD REALLY BOOK J00F... I am tired of all the same old one trick pony cheesy vocal eurotrancecers being brought in... bring some real deep dark trance!
Sadly I think Texas (He will NEVER be booked in Houston, mark my words) is way to mainstream for J00F :(, hell I doubt any artist that sounds "deep" will have a low chance of being booked :( the more plastic and shallow the better seems to be the norm in Houston. |

But once again as i've said since '06. Never have i heard a dud set by Hernan and the one time i saw him live he tore the place apart, leveled the club, caused the earths techtonic plates to shift, after which a bunch of gremlins came out of the center of the earth banged on some drums, and everyone was going into convulsions and foaming at the mouth. He then proceded to rebuild the place and sent the creatures back home. All in one night. Yes, his set was that good.
Dream line up for that show in my opinion would be same as last time:
Joe Dougherty
Randall Jones
Hernan Cattaneo
Only set i try to block out of my memory from that night was by a guy named Josh Dupont i think. I'm sure alot of people like his style. Not really my taste in music, but whatever. I don't think it fit in to well with the other sets that night.
It went from Dougherty playing a perfect opening set full of entrancing deep progressive and tech tracks to the second guy playing a bunch of well....never mind the second guy. Then Randall played a really awesome set. Got the vibe back on track when he dropped "Beanfield - Tides (C's movement #1)(Carl Craig remix) " .
Then Hernan opened with "Pryda - Armed" and for the most part played a bunch of dark, funky, tribal dubbed out prog. He managed to work "Yvan & Dan Daniel - Enjoy the silence" into his set also. Crazy night!
I'll try to make that the last time i hype up that show. I think that's easily the tenth time i speak of it on this forum.:wtf: |

Very incorrect, JOOF was in fact booked here in Houston in mid 2004 and played one hell of a set. So never say never :) |
