Is this backed up in some trustworthy news source? Awesome news if it's true.

It's a compelling argument, though you should take neither as Gospel. I would not underestimate in the least the ability for a patient to believe they have been cured and to exhibit a complete 180 in symptoms and suffering. Our bodies can do amazing things for themselves, though it's obviously best not to rely on this.

I'm going to try positive thinking instead of using a condom from now on

No, I this link is bull.

I saw this story reported a month ago on BBC and since then several ongoing work studies in to CCSVI have been commissioned.

The only setback has been with a study in stanford where someone died following the surgery.

Basically, it's good news but still more work to be done.

Well I certainly hope that you are correct.

Over here in southern ontario this procedure is in testing stage

to be tested for the depleted veins in your neck and to have corrected surgery costs around $90,000 to get done in the USA
(yay for rich people)

up here in Canada, because they don't want to spend that kind of money, they are doing extensive research to see if it is a possible cure

The current stage in Ontario is that they are testing people with and without MS to see if only the MS patients have the narrowing of the veins.
For this surgery to be available to someone in ontario, it will be a few years yet

So if your rich, enjoy your health
if your not, mortgage your life

While that does seem like a lot of money and I completely agree that surgery should not cost that much (ever), if you knew anything about MS, you'd know sufferers would pay 10 times that not to go through MS.

Not to cause a healthcare debate, but if this is proven to fully work, it will be available on the NHS in the UK (and actually already is for many applicable test cases).
