Can someone tell me how to use this? I've added it to my mixer, but nothing I do seems to effect my loops.

I don't understand how the wave forms that you can make (are you making wave forms?) pertains to time and pitch or volume of the loop you are playing.

Can someone help me?

Thanks,
Lester

Never used it, but are you defo routing your sounds through the filter?

That thing is REALLY tricky, trust me. For now, just go through the presets, its got some nice gating/filters in it. Once you figure out how it works, it can be really powerful

Thanks, Mclaine.

Do you know what a filter is? From the questions you're asking it doesn't seem like you do.

From your response, it doesn't seem you like you do either.

Thanks for the insightful post.

I'm pretty sure floyd741 knows what a filter is.
Anyway , it's just something that shapes the frequency of a signal , like a low pass filter cutoffs the higher frequency , and the high pass filter cutoffs the lower frequency.
And the Fruity Love Philter doesn't generate waveforms , those 'waveforms' you see are patterns , something like envelopes or LFOs.

Whoa I didn't mean to sound hostile, I was completely serious. You said that you don't understand how the filter affects volume or pitch. A filter (afaik) isn't actually supposed to do either of those things, it is meant to filter out frequencies via cutoff and add feedback via resonance.

I haven't used FL in a while (switched to Ableton Live) but iirc you draw the patterns (not waveforms) as a way to automate whatever it is that love philter lets you automate (obviously cutoff and reso but I don't remember if there's anything else).

Cool. I've experimented with it, and by the way it is changing my sounds, it seems like its modifying the waveform, rather than just eliminating frequences or resonance. The pattern deal is completely baffling as it does not seem to correspond to time or volume in any logical way.

Anyway, I was hoping that this plugin would give me a way to do those things in time, kind of like an automation clip. Apparently that is totally not what I'm looking for, but my interest is blazing.

Sorry for mistaking your intentions and being chafe, floyd741.

I am simply adding it to the main channel of the mixer.
