Now piss off and don't ruin this awesome thread our friend Dilmeet started...
Thank you, bud!
Many of you who are leading this thread towards the negative, just go away. This thread is intended to be a refreshment of what was very good time in the era of dance music.
Pure sadness - now there are to many critics.

The epic house-stuff he played before that tended to piss me off more than anything else with all of its overblown breakdowns and 13-minute tracks, and before that again, as SYS-J mentioned, he didn't really stand out much in the crowd of Hacienda-house playing guys.
In fairness, he never just played epic house unless it was the Essential Mix, or something. Even I wouldn't just play epic house, unless I'm deliberately showcasing it. It has a right place in a set.

You now realize it was corjay9 who started all this with his sarcastic remark about someone enjoying a Steve Angello track. Existo22 is backing him up, and starting new , simply because she is on some kind of crusade.

You are right. That era was amazing. I sit and reminisce and I get sad too. The music of that era was amazing. The vinyl distributors hadn't gone belly up there were record stores all around. I use to get exited going through new releases. The parties were off the hook. The scene was pretty much alive. Then we saw it all crumble before our eyes around 2005-2006. All the gear pimping, all the sponsorships... It went to . Record stores folded, labels folded, the market got saturated...
You can still find good prog here and there. You have to shift through the hipster though.

I just find it funny that when Sasha plays it, it's a great song.. Every other day, the Sweedish House Mafia sucks the big one.
At the end of the day, it does suck. We were there and it was fun raving face to big room techno for an hour or two. Take it out of context, and it doesn't do much for me. That's pretty much how it goes for everything S&D plays nowdays.
Also since when the does Steve Angello make lazer techno? :stongue:

This. I wouldn't buy or really listen to most of what they played there, but I enjoyed it very much for what it was.

My original post wasn't intended at anyone in general. What's wrong are you a "mnmlhipsterfag" that s all over Deadmau5, AVB and Tiesto?
