bye bye stanley, hello rocket richard :)

who do you think will get the hart? sedin?

I'd say so. I still don't believe Sid is as good as he's made out to be, and with Ovi not getting as far in the playoffs and definitely not being quite as influential, then it's down to the two of them. It's a shame cos I think Toews has had an excellent year and Backstrom too.

ye toews

btw rask was ing ROBBED of a calder nomination, imo.

Congrats Montreal!

I had a dream I was playing hockey tonight. Al my teammates had Toronto jerseys but when I looked down I had a Montreal jersey. :o

This is insane. During the season the habs had moments of brilliance, but even as a rabid habs supporter i never thought that this could happen. I'm older so I got to experience cup fever and a couple of titles, but can you imagine for an 18 year old habs maniac who has never seen them make it past the second round?

I have no choice but to believe now. They have an aura about them like the old school habs teams that won cups more often than nou showers.

They simply find ways to neutralize the big guns on the other side and Halak Tabarnak! is the hottest goalie in the playoffs. Every one is playing D like crazy, Hal Gill is starting to look like Larry Robinson, and they sacrifice their bodies more than any other team right now to block shot after shot.

Defense wins championships, great defense and white hot goalie means even the biggest skeptics in town are suffering from a huge case of Believer Fever. There is no gassing out right now. This is a new nucleus of players playing together for the most part for the first season. Tons of these new guys have cup rings and big game experience. They know it takes heart, and right now they are out hearting everyone. There might be no captain, but that kind of leadership will make the drive for 25 that much more possible.

Sorry for the rant, i have an erection so hard that the veins in the top of my forehead are starting to turn blue.

Go Habs Go! No matter the result this team is the best in awhile, and this city has not been this crazy since a long time.

I guess the Hockey Gods had a meeting regarding the Habs:

Hockey God 1: "Say, it's been a while since we last saw Montreal win a Cup. What say we give our favorite team another one?"

Hockey God 2: "Um, you do realize they are the worst team in the Playoffs this year, right?"

Hockey God 3: "Yeah, won't it look suspicious if we give them a clear run?"

Hockey God 1: "Good point. Let's have it so they beat Pittsburgh in the second round, so it legitimizes them as a contender by defeating a two-time Cup participant."

Hockey God 2: "Hm, the Penguins are in fourth. We'll have to get rid of the Devils and Sabers in the first round if we're to make that happen."

Hockey God 3: "Shouldn't be a problem."

Hockey God 1: "Alright then. Let's get the Habs that Cup!"

works for me.

I am going to do something I wouldn't normally do: Root for the team that just eliminated mine.

So in the spirit of that; Go Habs!

Been a Pens fan all of my life...but DAMN, Montreal is playing some great hockey and Halak is playing out of his head. Just hope they can keep it up.
