Hey guys + gals,
So I've been nagging and complaining for years about how Montreal never receives those vinyls that our friends in Europe have access to. The fact of the matter is that certain records have different channels of distribution, with the exception of a few titles that will remain under the North American radar. In the past, we were in fact getting the vinyls we ordered - for the most part - but months after it's release.
After years of persistent bitching, my voice of reason has finally been heard! I started working at Inbeat Records a couple of weeks ago and I targeted the root of the problem and located Sector Media, a vinyl distribution company in USA who carry a wider variety of new releases (mainly techno/minimal/tech-house/dubstep). Although the European release dates will always be earlier than ours, we will strive to get you guys the titles you are looking for.
So this is how the process will work. I'll compile and send out a list of new releases every couple of weeks or so to those interested. Just go through the list, highlight the ones you want and listen to them. Once you've chosen the vinyls you want to order, send me your list and I'll place the order. The turnaround should be around a week or two. Some titles, according to their availability might take a little longer, but we'll let you know the status of your order.
