It's hard to say with many of them because they're too glitchy/stuttery, but I definitely heard a few samples that sounded like African tribal chants and songs (children and adults). If you search the major sample sites (producerloops, zero-g, et al.) you should be able to find some.
BTW, thanks for posting this - I'll have to check out more of Mendo's music. Very cool. |

Thanks for replying mate, at least I know where to begin looking in terms of where the vocals come from.
No probs for posting, his tracks are very good really work well in the clubs. |

those are called Template House (use to be called tech house) vocals. |

there are a lot of those sample CDs arround (e.g. Ethnic, Herat of Africa, Afircan Voices,....) Zero G and BihfishAudio do have a bunch of such Sample CDs...
The one vocal was similar to a smple on "Herat of Africa" from Spectrasonics... Really old CD but with many familiar vocals which you found in a lot of tracks in the past years.... |

I saw the zero g one last night, might get that one. Thanks for the input on the others will see if I can locate those aswell. |
