So, what do you guys think about it? Which ones are you going to buy.
Personally I am thinking about the core i7 15 inch model.
If someone has an older model and bought a new one, feel free to report back how much faster the new MBP is for audio work. :)
First time user of a Mac here btw. It's just for something on the road, as a mobile device. :P |

From what I've heard they are great and seriously powerful - apparently the 8 hour battery is actually a reality! |

| Not enough reason for me to upgrade since I already have the unibody model (without the i5/i7), but, looks like a couple of nice changes. :) |

| i bought an older vers in September with the 7hr battery life and it is a reality. i've successfully watched movies on planes for 5hrs + and worked in ableton longer than any plane ride i've been on since i've had it (and i've been on 6.5hr flights). you can easily drain it in 3hrs by doing heavy CPU things and multitasking video/production etc but if you are just using a few programs it can last a long time. there are small things you can do to extend it as well |

My girlfriend is dog-obsessed (she rescues and re-homes dogs... especially large/senior/hard-to-adopt ones), so it's quite a constant effort to keep dog slobber and scratches and hair off the thing. :stongue:
Not to mention the two-year-old! |

| I meant.... keep the two-year-old off the MBP. Not keep the dog slobber/scratches/hair off the two-year-old. Though, I suppose that also applies. |

| haha yah, my dog as well. i bought one of those felt hard covers, it's been a gem! i would highly recommend. i also have one of those second skin cases, never be too careful :) |

Got a link? I've been thinking about doing something like this, but I hate anything that makes my laptop bulky, or makes it look "un-sexy", lol. |

the hard cover is dead sexy. i get a lot of compliments on it :) get the speck one not the incase one. I also need to correct my previous post, not felt but satin
