Ehh, you would be playing songs over and over agin too, if they were successfuland the crowd always likes em :)
besides, what else is he gonna play? better play tried and true than average, just coz its new. thats what i think.

yep yep. me agrees with ya ambrus. i mean, i'd go see tiesto if he used a few of the same trackz over and over...that's okay because this guy can seriously MIX. the energy he creates with the tables is amazing.

Hey ppl, just coz a DJ plays a certain track or two a few times over a week or so, doesnt mean he losing track, it means he likes the tune and so do the crowd. Timo Maas used Ashtrax - Helsinki to start every set he did for 2 months. Tiesto Played Silence for his last tune for in ages. Matt Hardwick has played Satoshi Tomiie - Love in traffic bang slap in the middle of his sets since december.

As for what u sed twilogoddess, trance aint dying at all. Maybe over there in the US it is, but the prog trance scene has just completely taken over here in the UK :) UPLIFTING trance is dying.. :p (not really its just taking a step back for the moment :))
hahahhahaa PROG WILL RULE THE WORLD

The USA has not even begun to understand electronica..they refer to everthing as "techno", we don't have the venues that Europe has and as for trance in the US dying..I totally disagree..its just beginning thats one of the reasons that u can play a song thats 2 years old and everyone will think its new.....any questions?

Exactly!! Everyone and their mother calls trance/prog trance/hardhouse/dreamdance/electro/happyhardcore and every one of the other 3000 genres of electronic music under the general label "techno". it just pisses me off coz, trance is NOT techno, techno in my book is like chemical brothers or the future sound of london. the that gets put on MTV electronica comps all the time. im sure u all agree with me that that is NOT trance!!!! :P

i do have the same opinion with one catch...trance has some techno elements..

Mizzzz

ambrus07
yes, but that depends on your definition of techno and trance once again.. a lot of ppl classify sven vath's music under techno, which would put it very close indeed to trance.. i was talking about chemical brothers and the like, for which i can see no resemblance to trance.

breakdown
chemical brothers i'd put in a genre by themselves..
Techno to me.. streams from German techno, then Detroit Techno, then all the trancelike-techno..
perfect examples of german techno would be Westbam or Oliver Ho....
Detroit techno.. is like Derrick May..
other stuff.... is the other stuff....errrrrr
